FALL RIVER -- Angeline (Laferriere) Hamel, 96, of the Catholic Memorial Home, formerly of New Boston Road and Wooley Street, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at the home. She was the widow of Albert J. Hamel. Born in La Patrie, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Louis A. and Pamela (Martineau) Laferriere, she lived in Fall River most of her life. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Anne Parish. Survivors include a son, Leo R. Hamel and his wife, Muriel, of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Donald Hamel and sister of the late Louis Z. Laferriere and Obeline Dumont. Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anne Church. Interment will be in Notre Dame Church. |
